Dr. Tennant spent his first 8 years of education in New Orleans; completing his undergraduate courses at Loyola University and his Doctorate at LSU School of Dentistry.
CLINICAL EXCELLENCE
After graduating from Louisiana State University Dental School in 1990, he was fortunate to be selected to some unique training experiences. While serving three years as a Navy Dentist, he was chosen to serve in the oral surgery department of a large dental center and had one-on-one training with 3 top surgeons. In 1993, he was accepted into the Parker Mahan Facial Pain Center ("TMJ" and headache fellowship) at the University of Florida; one of only four such programs in the United States. This two year fellowship, again, gave him an opportunity to have one-on-one training with leaders in their field, Doctors Henry Gremillion and Parker Mahan. Dr. Gremillion is now serving as the Dean of LSU Dental School.
He has attended thousands of hours of additional continuing education, including advanced cosmetic and tooth-conserving techniques. In 2002, he trained with one of the world leaders in Dental Implantology, Dr. Carl Misch, and completed a one-year post-doctoral program in Implant Dentistry at the University of Detroit.
PERSONAL EXCELLENCE
Personally, he believes in keeping himself physically fit so he can be at his peak both in and out of the office. As an active triathlete, he enjoys the challenges of the long distance endurance events. To date, he has completed several Ironman Triathlons and marathons. He and his wife, Alanna, live in Indian Shores, FL.
